Pee Dee Neighbors and Friends,
Charisse and I thank you for your support and prayers, during the past few months, as we entered an entirely new arena for us: politics.
As a political outsider, it’s been an incredible experience asking voters for their trust and vote.
With only 2 days left, I’m excited for Election Day. After holding 25 listening sessions and meet-and-greets, I feel strongly I know what voters are seeking and I can’t wait to start delivering for them in the State Senate.
I’m also looking forward to 7:00 PM on Election Day, so the lies and attacks levied against me by my opponent, his campaign, and his supporters will hopefully stop.
I am a Conservative Republican, and I always have been. Ever since I registered to vote in 1996, I have voted in multiple Republican primaries and have voted for our Republican nominees for President, including President Trump twice. I did NOT vote for Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden.
The real story here is why a longtime politician, who should be running on his record, is instead attacking me. If I was in Columbia for as long as Jay Jordan and the only thing I could do is launch attacks, I’d hope you’d vote me out, not give me a promotion.
I have been told that what my opponent is doing is just politics.
I don’t accept that.
I know that the Pee Dee is better than that. And, I know that the Pee Dee deserves better than that.
The Pee Dee is ready to end politics as usual.
The Pee Dee needs more public servants and less politicians.
The Pee Dee needs elected officials committed to serving the people they represent, not political insiders or special interests.
The Pee Dee needs more businessmen and women, who have actually created jobs, made payroll, and understand firsthand what needs to be done to unleash entrepreneurs and ensure the future of the Pee Dee is bright for the next
generation.
The Pee Dee needs more elected officials willing to be accountable for and proud of the votes they take in Columbia, not run from them.
I know these things from personal experience. But I also know them listening to neighbors in every part of this Senate district, during my 25 listening tour events and meet-and-greets.
I’ve heard it from farmers and barbers. I’ve heard it from electricians and physicians. I’ve heard it from gas station attendants and retired lieutenants.
Neighbors and friends, here is the reality. On Tuesday – January 25th – with your support and vote, I’ll be the Republican nominee to face off against the democrat in March.
And my opponent will be able to remain in leadership in the State House.
It’ll be a win-win for Florence and the Pee Dee because I know that as Senator, working with our House members, we can come together as a team to deliver on the most important issues to our community.
I’m ready and committed, through my Contract with the Pee Dee, to introduce term-limit legislation.
I’ll work to lower the state income tax for individuals, families, and job-creating businesses.
I’ll protect your tax dollars from wasteful spending, corporate bailouts, and backroom deals.
I’ll prioritize infrastructure improvements based on need, not politics.
I’ll always support our police, sheriff, and other law enforcement agencies.
I’ll direct education dollars into the classrooms and away from government bureaucracy.
I’ll defend the right to life.
And, I’ll protect our Second Amendment.
With your support and vote, I’ll end politics as usual and ensure your voice is heard and represented in Columbia. And, I’ll continue holding regular town halls and listening sessions.
Neighbors and friends, it would be my true honor to continue service to our community – this time as the State Senator. I humbly ask for your vote on Tuesday.
God bless you all, the Pee Dee, and the great state of South Carolina.
